The past tense is used for actions in a time that has already happened. In order to explain and understand past tense, it is useful to imagine time as a line on which the past, the present tense, and the future tense are positioned.
Course Timeline:
Draw dialogue clouds on the board and then call student in pairs, pointing at the first picture and telling them to put their own dialogue to converse relating to the picture.
Make sure students understand that the past form is the same for all persons. Give as many examples with regular verbs as need.
The worksheet has to be discussed and then completed.
Encourage all the students to participate in the activity.
